Residual income is probably one of the best forms of income on the planet. Why is this so? Because residual income comes to you no matter what you do, it continues to come in month after month. Achieving residual income can be accomplished in a number of ways. Some of these methods include rental income, royalty income, interest income, and business revenue. Achieving residual income is not rocket science, but it takes of bit of thought and planning. In today's world one of the best and most over hyped ways of achieving residual income is through a network marketing business.

A network marketing business quite simply is a business in which a corporation builds a network of distributors around a product or service, a product or service that the distributors sell to a customer and receive an ongoing commission each time that product or service is purchased. The larger the distributor's base of customers becomes, the greater his income will be month after month. To achieve an even greater form of residual income, the distributor will then go out and find other people who would like to earn residual income and become distributors. The recruiting distributor will then teach his newly recruited down line on how to build a base of customers to sell his product or service to, and then to also find distributors in which to teach to do the same. Thus creating a form of duplicating residual income that continues to grow, just as a cell in a body continues to grow and divide into infinity.

There are literally thousand of network marketing companies across the planet. Some of these companies are great; some of them are absolutely wonderful. But there are also network marketing companies that are bad, and some that are outright scams! This fact is unfortunate, as many individuals have lost a great deal of money to these unscrupulous network marketing companies. That is why it is important to start your quest for residual income through network marketing with an identification of a quality company with an exceptional product or service that is in demand and can be easily retailed. What should you look for in a company? First the company should have been around for a minimum of five years, it should have a product or service that is in demand and that the market needs and wants so you as a distributor can build a solid customer base. Your potential network marketing company should also have an excellent compensation plan, a plan that pays you for the hard work you will have to accomplish in building your residual income. These are the basic qualities you should look for in a network marketing company to pursue your goal of achieving residual income.
